Are there many things better than someone telling you they love working with your teams? Hell no. That’s the kind of stuff that tells you you're getting it right. But listen, you can't stop there. That's not what got you here. What got you here was hustle. What got you here was heart. And you're gonna need more of it.
Being a leader isn't about crossing some finish line. You're not done when you hit a goal. You're not done when your team nails a project. The moment you think you're done, that's when you lose. You get soft. You lose your edge. You lose that fire that makes you a leader in the first place.
Your job is to keep that fire alive. Not just in you, but in your team. Every single time you conquer a challenge, it's on to the next one. No breaks. No timeouts. Just relentless forward movement.
You're the one pushing the pace and the one who's got to get your team to buy into this mindset. Show them that it's not about getting to a final destination. It's about setting the pace of the grind and getting better, every. single. day.
The challenges your team faces must evolve, continuing to push them out of their comfort zones, making them better. "Alright, we did good. Now how can we do better?"
Stay hungry. Stay fired up. Keep pushing, keep learning, keep growing. That's what separates the leaders from the bosses. A boss tells people what to do. A leader shows them how it's done and inspires them to do the same.
Every win, every success, it's just a stepping stone. Don't get complacent. Don't get comfortable. Use every achievement as a springboard for the next challenge. Keep asking, "What's next?" Keep driving forward, keep pushing the envelope.
Listen, leadership is a tough gig. It ain't for the faint of heart. If someone tells you they love working with your teams, well, that means you're doing something right. But don't get complacent. Use it as fuel. Keep pushing. Keep driving. Because you're never truly done.
